CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY;
This policy emphasizes BOBAJOY’s corporate social responsibility principles and highlights the importance and priority of this subject for management, employees, and all stakeholders.
As part of its core values and principles, BOBAJOY accepts acting with a strong sense of social responsibility in all its activities as a fundamental and indispensable element of its management approach. Within this framework, BOBAJOY expects the management of its social and environmental impacts with a sense of responsibility and prioritizes contributing to the development of society. Our understanding of social responsibility and related priorities are determined by considering what is best for society and the environment. We strive to take a leading role in activities aimed at protecting democracy, human rights, and the environment.
At BOBAJOY, our Code of Business Ethics, prepared and implemented within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility Principles, serves as a guide for how we conduct our business.
Believing that corporate social responsibility principles are essential for sustainable development, BOBAJOY considers adding value to the society in which it operates as one of its core responsibilities. In this context, it carries out various social responsibility and sponsorship activities in areas such as education, sports, environment, and arts.
Our fundamental principles in social responsibility practices are as follows:
Child Labor: We do not employ individuals under the age of 16, respecting children's right to education and healthy development, and we comply with regulations regarding the employment of young workers.
Recruitment: In order to ensure the continuity of the company's ethical standards, recruitment decisions are based not only on technical competence and professional experience but also on compliance with company rules and social compliance requirements. Anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies apply from the recruitment stage onward.
Employee Awareness: We believe that social compliance is built on well-informed employees. Therefore, we provide regular training and information on employee rights, company rules, and working conditions to increase awareness.
Working Hours: We comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding working hours and overtime, respecting human rights and promoting efficient work practices.
Wages and Payments: We adopt the minimum wage as the baseline to ensure employees can meet their living expenses. No wages are paid below the legal minimum, and overtime payments are made in accordance with legal requirements.
Compliance with Laws and Other Obligations: We comply with all applicable laws and regulations and follow international social responsibility standards such as FLA, ILO, and ETI, alongside our customers’ business partner codes of conduct.
Non-Discrimination: All employees are treated equally. Discrimination in hiring, compensation, training access, promotion, or termination based on race, social class, religion, nationality, gender, or political affiliation is strictly prohibited.
Communication: We believe that success depends on effective communication. We promote open communication among employees and between employees and management, ensuring strong and continuous relationships.
Prevention of Harassment and Abuse: We ensure a workplace free from verbal, physical, or psychological harassment or coercion, fostering a safe and respectful environment.
Forced and Compulsory Labor: We strictly prohibit forced labor, bonded labor, or any form of involuntary work. All employment is based on voluntary participation.
Supplier Management: We believe all suppliers share equal responsibility. We evaluate suppliers’ social compliance practices, monitor results through action plans, and manage these processes through established management systems.
Occupational Health and Safety: We consider people as our most valuable asset. Our priority is to create a safe and healthy working environment and minimize all potential risks and losses.
Training: We recognize that the education level of employees determines the overall performance of the company. Therefore, we organize internal and external training programs to enhance occupational health and safety awareness, as well as professional and personal development, ensuring continuous improvement of both employees and the company.
